Juliana’s scientific work has been widely featured and she has published three international patents, two of which have been licensed for commercialisation. Her awards include the Singapore Women’s Weekly Great Women Of Our Time Award, L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Fellowships and the Singapore Youth Award. Juliana also has a strong interest in science communications. She founded Asian Scientist Magazine, a science and technology news portal. Her research interests include microfluidics and nanoparticle-based drug delivery. Juliana received a PhD in Biology and a MA, BA in Natural Sciences.
